Custom apps
Build with an API key or OAuth app when you need your own integration.
When to use this
Use a platform card when the tool is Cursor, Claude, Codex / ChatGPT, or Gemini. Use Create custom app when you are building your own integration, or when the host is not one of those four.
Custom apps still go through the same approvals. Partner Read is read-only: identity, shared profiles, and allowed pages.
Create
Start from Create custom app. Name it. Approve what it can see. Connect to finish. Advanced is open here because you need connection type and, for OAuth, a redirect URL.
Advanced
Advanced holds connection type and redirect URL. Keep it collapsed on platform cards. Open it here. Do not lead with connection type on the first screen of a preset platform.

Keys
Keys are shown once. Store them safely. Copy, then leave the screen. Revoke from the app detail. See Security.
